NCLC is excited to bring back our Tucson Excursions! This year, each excursion will have a leadership theme and will include a reflective component to help participants see leadership in a variety of ways. Excursions will be on Sunday, February 21, from 12:30-5:00 pm. Sign up in the Grand Ballroom as soon as you arrive! All excursions are limited to 13 people.

Hiking in Catalina State Park: Visit Catalina State park and go on a group hike. Participants will take the Romero Canyon trail, a 2.3 mile loop above and within a small canyon. Cost: $2 cash only. Location: Off-Campus – bus provided.

Walk The Presidio Trail: Head downtown to explore Tucson's historical landmarks on this self-guided walking tour. The 2.5-mile trail takes you to 23 sites, including Hotel Congress, the Pima County Courthouse, and Fox Tucson Theatre. A turquoise-colored line keeps walkers on track, while plaques along the way provide historical information. FREE!

Southern Arizona Transportation Museum: The Southern Arizona Transportation Museum exists to interpret the history of transportation in Southern Arizona with a focus on the Tucson Historic Depot and Steam Locomotive #1673. Dedicated to education, research and preservation.

Arizona-Sonoran Desert Museum:  Wandering through this living museum is like taking an enchanted walk through the desert—with no fear of snakes or critters. The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is a world-renowned zoo, natural history museum and botanical garden, all in one place! Exhibits re-create the natural landscape of the Sonoran Desert Region so realistically you find yourself eye-to-eye with mountain lions, prairie dogs, Gila monsters, and more. Fourth Avenue Shops: Called Tucson's "most eclectic shopping district," the avenue has numerous boutiques, galleries, restaurants, cafés, and jewelry and furniture stores For a shopping experience with an artistic flair, visit Fourth Avenue! Fourth Avenue, home to two annual street fairs, has a variety of shops, merchants, and eateries. From crafts to fine art, from resale clothes to handmade furniture, you’ll find it on Fourth Avenue. http://www.fourthavenue.org/explore/shopping/ Cost: Free. Location: Off-Campus – bus provided for first 20 participants. This year during NCLC three blocks of Fourth Avenue will be closed off to all for the Fords On Fourth Classic All Ford Auto Show. All types of Fords will be there and the event is FREE.

The University of Arizona Biosphere 2: Biosphere 2 is a 3.14 acre enclosed facility that allows UA researchers to conduct study on various ecosystems. These ecosystems include ocean with coral reef, mangrove wetlands, tropical rainforest, savannah grassland, and fog desert. http://www.b2science.org/ Cost: $10--cash only. Pima Air and Space Museum: Pima Air & Space Museum, where history takes flight, is one of the largest air and space museums in the world, and the largest non-government funded aviation museum. You'll see more than 275 aircraft and spacecraft including many of the most historically significant and technically advanced craft ever produced, both from the United States and throughout the world. http://www.pimaair.org/ Cost: $15.50, cash only. U of A Plant & Architecture Walks The U of A campus boasts a diverse and splendid collection of plants from all over the world, as well as indigenous species. FREE!

Sand Volleyball: Play in the sand! Come to Park Student Union to the sand volleyball courts for fun in the sun and a little practice in teamwork. Individuals welcome—we’ll find you a team! Cost: FREE! Location: On-Campus.

Arizona State Museum: ASM is renowned for its excellence in preserving, interpreting and presenting the material culture of our region.
